What's the Ambassadors Program about?

It’s about helping others.

The Ambassadors Program is a strategy for native people from the United States or Canada to perform as language coaches in on line conversational rooms in English. It is a volunteering program.

When talking about language learning, interacting with native speakers is what learners really  need. This interaction is meaningful and useful because they can get authentic input of the language which helps them improve both listening comprehension and speaking skills in the target language.

It’s about learning from others.

The Ambassadors get what they give. They help others to learn English and they are helped to learn Spanish in return.

The Ambassadors learn from their interaction with people form Latin America and other foreign students who want to improve their listening comprehension and oral skills in Spanish.

Besides, the Ambassadors will enjoy the riches of Latin American cultures, they will know more about history, cuisine, traditions and, of course, the language.

The Language Coach

As a Language Coach, the Ambassador participates in the activities set by a Coordinator where they are given the first turns to talk so the students can listen, get vocabulary, perceive the pronunciation, and gain confidence. So the most important thing for a coach is to motivate.

As a Language coach, the Ambassador must take notes during each session, listen carefully to the participants, show willingness to interact and share the most relevant cultural features according to the topic. And most of all, as coaches, Ambassadors must be collaborative because he/she is part of the team.

As a language coach, the Ambassador must provide the students with a well organized feedback. Yes! An the end of each session, the coach mentions the points students must take action in order to improve. The feedback includes vocabulary checking ,  analysis of cultural formal and informal expressions and pronunciation guidance.

The Spanish Conversational Room

We know you love Spanish Language.

As an Ambassador, you automatically get access to the conversational room for foreign students of Spanish language.

You will experience the benefits of interacting with a native speaker language coach. In each session, you will have the opportunity to practice your Spanish by participating in different activities that may help you improve your listening and speaking skills.

Besides, we have special guests from different Latin American countries such as Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Argentina.

Finally, the best part is that you will receive a feedback too. Just as the way you provide it to English Language learners in the chatroom where you perform as a coach.

The ambassadors will participate twice a week in the Spanish conversational room. Two 90 minutes sessions.
